The project is a collaborative album between the artists Andrea Tichy, Nina Caroline, Noa Bonn with the project Jupiter Flynn, Bene Sanoll from Timbreroots, Eva Grünbacher, Ben Moon and producer and songwriter Benedikt Fuchs.
The creation process took place in shared flats, bedrooms and various studios in Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Karlsdorf (near Karlsruhe), Mannheim and Berlin.
Musically, it's somewhere between indie folk and alternative, with lots of real instruments and wild synth programming. So, it can be said that Indie folk is the style that somehow holds it all together and brings the sound of the various artists together with the sound of Benedikt Fuchs. Live strings and a hybrid production consisting of libraries, synths, real drums, guitars and so on give the songs a seamless feel. In terms of content, however, the tracks stand on their own. Just like on an album by a single artist, the songs deal with a wide variety of topics that the songwriters are interested in and want to share. Distorted and handmade acoustic sounds belong together here and give the whole thing a sound all of its own. The whole thing is rounded off by an immersive production for the Dolby Atmos format, planned from the outset and produced mainly in a 7.1.4 studio. This means that the songs can also be enjoyed immersively via binaural rendering for listeners with headphones.
The whole thing is inspired by artists such as Bon Iver (mainly the albums 22, A Million and i,i), Phoebe Bridgers, Holly Humberstone and Boygenius.
Nevertheless, the whole thing stands on its own thanks to its grand instrumentation, numerous tracks and unique arrangements (especially those for the various string and woodwind ensembles).
Anger can be quiet, soft voices loud, and not everything that makes you sad is bad. In her first releases, Andrea Tichy sings about her own contradictions and the omnipotence of feelings. The indie pop artist draws inspiration from experimental folk soundscapes à la Bon Iver and catchy melodies reminiscent of indie pop acts such as Holly Humberstone.
Catchy acoustic guitars and charged vocals meet playful arpeggiators. Organic and electronic elements complement each other seamlessly, creating a folk-esque intimacy in a modern guise.
This symbiosis is also reflected in her visuals: distorted natural spectacles and interpersonal relationships – naturalness in the context of a postmodern world.
The songs by the young new Berliner are concise and timeless, with infectious, highly melodic hooklines and a cleverly balanced mix of folk and international pop. At the age of 11, Nina won the TV competition ‘Dein Song’ on ZDF KIKA, which brought her initial attention and led to numerous appearances on television and professional studio recordings. At 17, she went to England to study music and made valuable international contacts there, including the artist Kenya Grace. Her studies also helped her to develop musically and linguistically.
In 2024, Nina finally dared to release her songs completely DIY as Nina Caroline, without a team or permanent producers. Even without partner companies, campaigns and large budgets, the tracks were very well received on DSPs and by various blogs and college radio stations. The first festival bookings and a support tour request from Zeck soon followed.
Benedikt Sanoll, better known as ‘Bene’, is a singer-songwriter from the vineyards of South Tyrol. His unique sound is created through the dynamic use of the versatile pitches and tones of his voice and his special style of fingerstyle guitar playing. He expands on this with stompbox, harmonica or loop device, combining indie folk, alternative rock, Brit pop and even elements of new sacred music.
Bene writes lyrics that inspire reflection or convey joie de vivre. Following his debut album ‘Numen's Dreams’, he now presents new songs from his upcoming album ‘Heartbeat Chronicles’.
An evening with Bene means honest music that connects, lets you forget everyday life and stays in your memory.
Anyone who has heard the name Benedikt Köstler may have seen him as a contestant on the casting show The Voice of Germany – where he was quite successful, coming in second place. Unlike many other contestants, however, he did not accept any of the automatic offers and wanted to find himself as an artist first and build his career more patiently and thus more sustainably.
‘I enjoyed the show, it was important to me, but I also knew that I had to shape my own future. A month after my 18th birthday, I moved to Berlin because there wasn't much going on in my hometown of Nuremberg. I didn't care about fame and money, I wanted to build something with substance,’ says Köstler.
Behind the name EVE is 24-year-old Eva Grünbacher, a passionate singer and pianist. She had her first musical experiences on the piano at primary school age and was immediately hooked. Eva attended secondary school with a focus on music, where she discovered her passion for singing. She began accompanying her singing on the piano. She continued her musical career in high school, once again choosing to focus on music. Eva gained experience in musicals on small stages, where she felt very comfortable. At the age of 20, she decided to study music education at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, Innsbruck campus. She will complete her bachelor's degree in the summer of 2026. During her studies, EVE began writing her first songs, which she hopes to release in the near future.
She wants to inspire people with her music, share a part of herself with the world and express her passion. Her goal is not to become famous and successful with her music, but to make people feel something. Just as music makes her feel something.
Jupiter Flynn is a young singer-songwriter born in Amsterdam. She has lived in Tokyo, New York, Sydney and Frankfurt, and now calls Berlin home. In June 2024, she released her
EP, followed by her debut album in November 2022, which she recorded with her producer Pola Roy (drummer for Wir sind Helden) in his studio. Her compositions have a fragile, light-footed indie pop quality, while her dark voice and coming-of-age lyrics form a strong counterpoint that gives her songs a gripping depth.
Benedikt Fuchs is a producer and songwriter from Mannheim or Cologne / Düsseldorf.
His creative workplace is somewhere on the ICE train between Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia or in his studio in Cologne's Südstadt district.
He mostly works across disciplines, combining pop music production, recording studio work, theatre stages and music for media. He is a composer and producer of music that spans genres, focusing on whatever he feels like doing and whatever projects come his way.
